Endocrinologist, Fuad S. Ashkar, M.D., has been elected president of the medical staff at Kendall Regional Medical, which consists of more than 575 physicians.Dr. Ashkar is a member of the senior active medical staff, Immediate-Past Chairman of the Department of Medicine and Chief of Endocrinology at Kendall Regional Medical Center.
Dr. Ashkar trained at the UM/JMH and the N.I.H. in Endocrinology and Nuclear Medicine, and was a member of the medical faculty of the University of Miami. He was also Chairman of the Florida Board of Medicine and member of the board for 12 years; and is a diplomat of the American Board of Nuclear Medicine and a Fellow of the American College of Endocrinology and a Certified Health Care Risk Manager.
