Margaret W. Niedland battled breast cancer with remarkable energy. That battle shaped her commitment to help women realize that early breast cancer detection was the key to a woman’s success with breast cancer survival. While she lost her courageous battle this spring at age 76, her vision for women to access a facility providing the earliest possible detection of breast cancer has become a reality. Margaret’s daughter and son-in-law, Suzanne Niedland (pictured) and Lawrence F. De George have donated $4 million to the Jupiter Medical Center Foundation to realize Margaret’s vision. The Jupiter Medical Center Foundation announced the Niedland/De George gift to create The Margaret W. Niedland Breast Center. The gift establishes the state-of-the-art diagnostic center to be equipped with the world’s most advanced imaging technology. The Center will expand the capabilities of Jupiter Medical Center’s nationally accredited Comprehensive Breast Care Program.
