October 23, 2025 – HCA Florida Healthcare hospitals across Palm Beach County and the Treasure Coast are uniting in the fight against opioid misuse by hosting Crush the Crisis: Prescription Drug Take Back Day events on Saturday, October 25, providing safe, convenient, and anonymous medication disposal for the community.
Members of the public are invited to drop off unused or expired prescription medications at any of the following participating HCA Florida Healthcare locations:

In partnership with local law enforcement agencies, these drive-up events allow for the safe and anonymous disposal of prescription medications that may be leftover from medical procedures or other uses. Accepted items include tablets and capsules in any packaging, as well as medicated ointments, lotions, or drops. Needles, syringes, lancets, and illegal drugs will not be accepted.
Crush the Crisis is part of HCA Healthcare’s nationwide effort to raise awareness about the dangers of opioid misuse and provide communities with safe disposal options. Since launching in 2019, HCA Healthcare facilities have helped collect and safely dispose of more than 88,000 pounds of medication across the country.
