February 15, 2023- Josh Woodruff, RN, MSN has been named as Assistant Chief Nursing Officer (ACNO) at HCA Florida Palms West Hospital, effective February 27, 2023.

Josh comes to Palms West after serving as the ACNO for HCA Florida Kendall Hospital, a 447-bed acute care facility in Miami–Dade County, where he also served as the Interim Director of the surgical and orthopedic floors.

While at Kendall Hospital, Josh was responsible for the 71-bed medical unit, opened two new Med/Surg floors, and helped the hospital realize an increase in patient experience scores. Josh has been with HCA Healthcare since April 2020.

Josh spent five years as a Nursing Director at Venice Regional Bayfront Health in Venice, Fla. from 2015 to 2020.

Prior to moving to Florida, Josh was an RN with the Bariatric Program at The Ohio State University and an Assistant Director of Nursing for a care and rehabilitation facility in Ohio.

Josh earned his LPN and RN from Hondros School of Nursing, his BSN from Western Governors University and his MSN from Western Governors University.

In is free time, Josh enjoys spending time with his family and the outdoors. His wife is an RN. His son is a teacher on the west coast of Florida and his daughter is currently pursuing her nursing degree.
