October 19, 2022 — HCA Florida St. Petersburg Hospital recently announced Diane Conti as chief nursing officer (CNO). Diane previously spent 19 years at the facility, holding several leadership positions before continuing to advance her career at HCA Florida Largo Hospital in 2019. Most recently, she served as Largo’s assistant chief nursing officer (ACNO).

“We could not be more excited to welcome Diane back into the HCA Florida St. Petersburg Hospital family,” said Sally Seymour, CEO. “With her extensive knowledge of our hospital and the St. Petersburg community, coupled with her strong reputation of mentoring and motivating her teams, we have the highest confidence that Diane will continue to drive clinical excellence and elevated care experiences for those we are privileged to serve.”

During her time at HCA St. Petersburg Hospital from 2000 to 2019, Diane served as director of Emergency Services, as well as interim Intensive Care Unit (ICU) director, interim Women’s Services director and interim Respiratory Therapy director. She made the difficult decision to leave the facility in 2019 to continue to grow as a leader at HCA Florida Largo Hospital. There, she served as the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) director, was quickly promoted to the Critical Care director and was promoted again shortly after to ACNO.

“We are thrilled to have Diane returning to HCA Florida St. Petersburg Hospital as the new CNO,” said Chief Nurse Executive Dr. Leanne Salazar, HCA Healthcare West Florida Division.  “Throughout her leadership journey, Diane has managed a broad range of specialty services, earning the support and respect of her teams and hospital leadership.”

Diane currently resides in Seminole and is incredibly proud of her two sons Tim and Cody. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling and the beach.
