December 12, 2025 – Health Choice Network (HCN), the first funded nation-wide collaboration of health centers, announced today that they achieved Experience Level 6 for Electronic Health Record (EHR) satisfaction measured by the KLAS Arch Collaborative EHR Survey.
The 2025 survey results confirm that HCN health centers utilizing Epic Powered by HCN are among the most satisfied Epic users in the nation. HCN earned the prestigious KLAS Level 6: Elite EHR Experience designation, a distinction reserved for organizations demonstrating outstanding EHR usability and user experience.
In 2020, before any HCN health center had transitioned to Epic, the network’s overall satisfaction score was 30.9. By 2025, with all health centers who completed the survey live on Epic Powered by HCN, satisfaction skyrocketed to 68.6. Satisfaction didn’t just rise – it more than doubled after moving to Epic.
These results place HCN in the:
- 100th percentile for physicians, nurses, and advanced practice providers among health center-controlled networks (HCCN) organizations
- 98th percentile for all respondents among HCCN organizations
- 85th percentile for all respondents among all Epic organizations nationwide
“This achievement validates what we’ve been building toward for years – that community health centers deserve the very best technology experience,” said Alejandro [Alex] Romillo, President & Chief Executive Officer at Health Choice Network. “Epic Powered by HCN has transformed the way providers and care teams at Community Health Centers work, and the data proves it.”
The KLAS Arch Collaborative results are based on insights from 350+ healthcare organizations measuring to date (~400 FQHCs/CHCs) and over 650,000 participating clinicians. HCN’s results show that FQHCs can not only compete with, but outperform, large hospital systems in delivering exceptional EHR satisfaction.
Fueled by these results, HCN is investing in new initiatives designed to build on its success and further enhance user satisfaction:
- Physicians: Expanded support and ongoing training sessions to streamline workflows and maximize efficiency.
- Medical Assistants: A new MA-focused training program to enhance skills, improve daily experience, and strengthen care delivery.
- Dentists & Behavioral Health: Governance Committee engagement to ensure specialty workflows are optimized and best practices are shared across the network.
“We’re proud to lead the way, but we’re not stopping here,” added Dr. Timothy Long, Health Choice Network’s Chief Clinical Officer. “Our goal is to make sure every role, from physician to medical assistant, has the tools, training, and support to deliver outstanding patient care with Epic.”
