Carol R. Selvey, MHSA, CPHIMS, FHIMSS Associate Vice President Iatric Systems, Inc.
A resident of Bradenton, FL, Carol R. Selvey, MHSA, CPHIMS, FHIMSS, has more than 25 years of experience in leadership and operational management, for both consulting and information system vendors in the health information technology and systems industry.
A member of HIMSS since 1993, Selvey is also a member of the HIMSS Board of Directors, where she works to develop programs that enhance educational and business opportunities for HIMSS’ members and seeks to improve systems to support members’ activities and facilitate their advancement in the Society. She serves as Board Liaison for the Foundation and Member Programs and Recognition Committees. She previously served on the Advocacy Steering Committee.
She has actively volunteered her time to the Societys Central and North Florida Chapter advocacy and public policy efforts; she is a past chapter president and advocacy liaison, and is the current sponsorship chair.
“My involvement in HIMSS has been tremendously beneficial both personally and professionally,” said Selvey. “In addition to developing a network of colleagues (providers, vendors and consultants), HIMSS service has helped me to develop new skills related to advocacy, exhibit and event planning, public speaking and fundraising. It has given me the opportunity to think strategically about how to grow an organization and benefit its members. These are skills that I might never have realized without my HIMSS experience.”
