The National Football League (NFL) Alliance Partnership recently kicked off the first national program focused on heart health screenings for former NFL players.

The program debuted at Broward Health Broward General Medical Center.

The hospital provided its own medical experts and the 64-slice CT scan for the screenings. Partnering with BGMC, was Dr. Jeffrey Boone founder of ProHeart MD and the ProHeart MD staff. Following the scan, the former players were given health analysis and consultations by Dr. Boone and the ProHeart MD staff at the Riverside Hotel in Fort Lauderdale. NFL Alumni Chapter Presidents and Board of Directors, all former NFL players from throughout the country, participated in the NFL Alliance screening program provided by BGMC and ProHeart MD.
