Thais Azevedo, RN, BSN, MHA, CCM is the new director of case management at Hialeah Hospital, where she oversees the strategic leadership of care management and utilization management. She also coordinates the development of policies and procedures related to patient care, treatment and services.
Azevedo has developed partnerships with physicians to decrease hospital length of stay and has implemented quality improvement initiatives in the areas of employee engagement, employee evaluation and employee development. Prior to her role at Hialeah Hospital, she served as an Intensive Care Unit Nurse, a trauma case manager and director of case management at several hospitals in Florida. Azevedo holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and a Master of Healthcare Administration from Ohio University. She also carries a Case Management Certification (CCM) and is Registered Nurse in the State of Florida.
