Hialeah Hospital has hired Dr. Luis Alvarez as its new Radiology Group Director.

Dr. Alvarez attended the University of Miami for undergraduate and medical school and served his internship and residency at Jackson Memorial Hospital. He served at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in charge of Radiology at several military installations, with the rank of Major and receiving an honorable discharge. Prior to accepting his new position at Hialeah Hospital, Dr. Alvarez was director of radiology for another South Florida health care facility.
