Holy Cross Hospital Daisy Award Recipients

Sheila Kasel, R.N., received her award in January for saving a patient’s life after noticing an irregular pattern of blood pressure drops after an angioplasty procedure. A Holy Cross Associate for nine years, Sheila currently serves in the hospital’s cardiovascular intensive care unit.

 

Giancarlo Martinez, R.N., serves in the hospital’s intermediate care unit. A Holy Cross Associate for two years, he received his award in February in recognition of his dedication, patience and compassion.

 

Rita Parks, R.N., has been a nurse for 52 years. She has served 47 of those years at Holy Cross in several areas, but mainly caring for infants and children. She received her award in March for the excellent care she provided to a patient recovering from a caesarean section in the hospital’s post-partum unit.
