Holy Cross Hospital has expanded into Palm Beach County with the opening of an Urgent Care and Imaging Center in Boca Raton on Monday, September 15. Located at 1799 S. Federal Highway, the 7,713-square-foot clinic with six treatment and exam areas will be open seven days a week.

“Patients visiting our Urgent Care and Diagnostic Imaging Center can expect the same high standards of excellence and compassionate care we offer at Holy Cross Hospital,” said President and CEO Patrick A. Taylor, M.D. “In addition to an expert team of physicians, nurses and technicians, the clinic offers high quality care as well as leading-edge technology and equipment. With the hectic lives we lead, there is never a good time to be sick, but with same-day appointments available, patients now have a more convenient option to get the care they need.”

In the new center, practitioners will treat non-life threatening conditions such as fractures, sprains, lacerations and burns; treatment of minor illnesses such as cold, flu, pink eye and rashes; and conditions including high blood pressure, dizziness and nausea. In addition, the center facilitates basic lab testing, administers immunizations, provides school and employer physicals, worker’s compensation injury treatment and first dosages of common medications, among other services.

Imaging services include CT scans, bone densitometry, digital x-rays, mammography and ultrasounds. The center’s non-invasive CT scanner creates high-resolution anatomical images in 15 seconds, and its digital x-ray reduces radiation exposure. Women will be able to complete their diagnostic or screening mammograms in a comfortable environment and receive results on the same day.
