Alexander Llanos, M.D., is an interventional and structural cardiologist at Holy Cross Medical Group. A cardiovascular service line physician leader at Holy Cross Health, he serves in a dyad model with the executive director. Dr. Llanos also serves on the Holy Cross Physician Board and as a member of the Trinity Health Clinical Excellence Council. He organizes local, national and international conferences in cardiovascular disease and physician leadership. His focus areas include interventional cardiology, structural heart disease, transcatheter aortic valve replacement, atrial septal defect closure and paravalvular leak closure. Board-certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Disease and Interventional Cardiology, Dr. Llanos is extensively involved in medical research and clinical trials. He earned his undergraduate degree from Mercer University (Macon, GA) and his medical degree from Medical College of Georgia (Augusta). He completed an internship and residency in internal medicine at University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital and a clinical cardiology fellowship at Atlanta’s Emory University before completing an interventional cardiology and advanced coronary and structural heart disease fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital / Harvard Medical School. He obtained an MBA from the University of Florida’s Warrington College of Business.
