“Hurricane Charley serves as a reminder of how precious life is and the fragility of the thread that holds us in our comfort zones,” said John Johnson, President & CEO of Holy Cross Hospital. ” A disaster of this proportion also reminds us that every day people in our own backyard need our help. It is comforting to know that so many of our Associates are willing to bring the healing ministry of the Sisters of Mercy to their fellow health care workers.”
The teams were mobilized as part of Holy Cross voluntary participation in Disaster Aid to Stricken Hospitals (DASH).
