November 3, 2021 – Cleveland Clinic Florida board-certified anesthesiologist Jeffrey Jacobs, MD, MBA, FASA, RP was elected as Vice Speaker of the House of Delegates for the American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA) making him one of 12 officers for the organization. Dr. Jacobs currently serves as Cleveland Clinic Florida’s Anesthesiology Institute Chair, Surgical Operations Chair and Medical Director of the Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee for the Region.
With nearly 55,000 members, the American Society of Anesthesiologists seeks to raise and maintain the standards of the medical practice of anesthesiology and improve patient care. The House of Delegates is the primary representative, legislative, and policy-setting body of the ASA.
Dr. Jacobs is a past-president of the Florida Society of Anesthesiologists and one of six editors who creates the In-Training Exam for the American Board of Anesthesiology.
