Jupiter Medical Center’s Board of Trustees and Don McKenna, President and CEO, have determined that their visions for Jupiter Medical Center are no longer aligned. Today, Don McKenna separated from Jupiter Medical Center to pursue other opportunities. Joanne Miller, DNP, RN-C, Chief Nursing Officer and Chief Experience Officer, and Steve Seeley, Chief Operating Officer, will act as interim co-CEOs.

Jupiter Medical Center is undergoing an exciting time of growth and innovation. In January 2019, Jupiter Medical Center was designated by the State of Florida as a Comprehensive Stroke Center. Later this year, Jupiter Medical Center will become a Level II Cardiac Care Center, allowing physicians to perform more advanced procedures on patients with serious cardiac issues such as cardiac bypass, and valve replacement and repairs. Next month, Jupiter Medical Center will open the Mastroianni Pediatric Emergency Department in partnership with Nicklaus Children’s Hospital. Also, opening in late 2019, the Anderson Family Cancer Institute will provide convenient access to multidisciplinary, evidence-based, comprehensive cancer care often found in the nation’s most prestigious healthcare institutions.
