Jupiter Medical Center has named Mary Bishop, RN, BSN, MSN, to the position of Chief Nursing Officer (CNO). Paul Dell Uomo, Chief Executive Officer (CEO), announced Bishops appointment at the November meeting of the Medical Centers Board of Directors.
Bishop will assume her post after most recently serving as CNO at JFK Medical Center in Atlantis, FL the past 4 years. A career nurse with 20 years of nurse management experience, Mary spent the first 10 years of her career as a staff nurse in the neonatal intensive care unit and medical oncology unit of a not- for-profit community hospital in Michigan. Bishop has developed great strength in her role as a clinical leader who is dedicated to promoting high quality patient care and overall patient satisfaction.
After becoming a registered nurse at the St. Joseph School of Nursing in Canada and earning her BSN from the University of Western Ontario, Bishop moved to the U.S. and went on to receive her MSN from Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton.
