June 24, 2022 — As the most comprehensive cancer program in Southwest Florida, the Lee Health Regional Cancer Center is bolstering its services in an effort to keep cancer care close to home for community members.
The Regional Cancer Center offers a comprehensive care program, complete with oncologists, nurse navigators, a dietician, genetics counselor and more. The certified and dedicated team designs treatment programs that exceed national survivorship rates through a compassionate and collaborative experience.
To be able to care for even more community members, Lee Health is expanding its oncology program with plans to open new cancer center locations in Cape Coral and Bonita Springs.
Lee Health will first build-out the Coconut Point location to include oncology and infusion services, which will be located at the Bonita Health Center. The anticipated timeline to open this location is summer of 2023.
Plans to expand in Cape Coral are currently underway. While an exact location hasn’t yet been identified, the intent is to add services to the Cape in 3-4 years.
“Our goal is to meet the needs of our community, and as the population in Southwest Florida continues to grow, so does the need for more oncology services in the region,” said Debra Wilson, vice president of oncology for Lee Health. “By expanding our program, we are going to be able to keep our patients in their neighborhoods and community so they can be treated closer to home.”
Over the past several months, Lee Health has also significantly grown its oncology care team by hiring seven additional care providers, including physicians, nurse practitioners and a physician assistant. They include:

- Larisa Yarcowicz, PA-C
Additionally, Lee Health recruited two expert leaders in the oncology field – Debra Wilson and Dr. Mark Roh – to further expand the program. Dr. Roh serves as chief physician executive of oncology services and Wilson holds the role of vice president of oncology. Both have decades of extensive and dedicated experience in cancer care.
“The Lee Health Regional Cancer Center already provides state-of-the-art care, and by growing this program further, we’re going to be able to offer even more services to the community,” said Dr. Mark Roh, chief physician executive of oncology services.
