Two of Tenet Florida Heart & Vascular Network’s top heart experts, Dr. Brian Bethea, Regional Medical Director of Cardiovascular Surgery, and Dr. Brijeshwar Maini, Regional Medical Director of Transcatheter Therapies, are researching a heart valve system for patients with severe aortic stenosis, the most common and serious heart valve disease. Dr. Bethea and Dr. Maini are co-primary investigators in the Lotus™ Valve System REPRISE III clinical trial. As a team, Dr. Bethea and Dr. Maini will study and evaluate the safety and effectiveness of this new heart valve system in patients with severe aortic stenosis. These patients are considered high or extreme risk for heart valve replacement surgery.
