Local Physician, Steven R. West, M.D. Installed as the 132nd President of the Florida Medical Association

Steven R. West, M.D., was installed as the 132nd President of the Florida Medical Association at their Annual Meeting.

Dr. West is a board certified physician; he graduated from medical school at the Indiana University School of Medicine where he also completed his internship, residency, and fellowship training. He came to Lee County immediately following his fellowship and has served as a cardiologist in Lee County for 23 years. He is a partner with Cardiology Consultants of SWFL in Fort Myers.

Dr. West is a past president of the Lee County Medical Society and past president of the Lee County Board of Directors of the American Heart Association. He has also served as Vice President and Secretary of the Florida Medical Association.
