Antonio C. Bianco, M.D., Ph.D., associate professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School, has been named chief of the Division of Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism in the Department of Medicine at the University of Miami Leonard M. Miller School of Medicine.
Bianco received his medical degree from Santa Casa School of Medicine in Sao Paulo, Brazil in 1983 and his Ph.D. in human physiology from the University of Sao Paulo in 1988. He served on the faculty of the University of Sao Paulo for 15 years before emigrating to the United States to take a position at Harvard Medical School in 2002.
