Urologist Louis Yogel, M.D., has been named chief of staff for Broward Health Medical Center (BHMC) and Chris Evert Children’s Hospital. Dr. Yogel will serve a two-year term.
Prior to this appointment, Dr. Yogel twice served two-year terms as the vice chief of staff at BHMC. He has also served as medical staff secretary-treasurer for the hospital. Dr. Yogel succeeds outgoing Chief of Staff Dr. Rajiv Chokshi.
Dr. Yogel is certified by the American Board of Urology, and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. In 2008, Dr. Yogel was voted into Florida’s Super Doctors. He is also a member of the American Urological Association, the American Medical Association and the Florida Urological Association. He has been practicing urology for more than 20 years.
