The Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital Foundation’s Memorial Classic 2012 returns for a 24th year, making it the longest running annual fundraiser for the Foundation. The annual event consists of the Memorial Classic Player Reception & Auction and the Joe DiMaggio Legends Game.

Kicking off the festivities earlier in the week is the Conine All-Star Golf Classic, hosted by Jeff and Cindy Conine, with Calder Casino & Race Course as the title sponsor. The popular event takes place at The Club at Emerald Hills in Hollywood on Monday, January 23 and features a well-known sports celebrity in each foursome. It also boasts amazing give-aways and prizes at each of the 18 holes.
The Memorial Classic Player Reception & Auction will be held at Hard Rock Live at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood on Friday, January 27 at 7:00 p.m. Guests will enjoy a special evening rubbing elbows with former major league baseball players and friends of the hospital as they come together to enjoy a variety of foods, beverages and a unique auction of sports and entertainment memorabilia in preparation for the big game the following day. Tickets cost $150.
The Joe DiMaggio Legends Game returns to Fort Lauderdale Stadium on Saturday, January 28 at 1:00 p.m. Scheduled to appear on the roster for the charity baseball game are former major league players including Orlando Cepeda, Willie Horton, Phil Linz, Ed Kranepol, Brooks Robinson, Cookie Rojas, Art Shamsky, Ron Swoboda to name a few. Reserved seats are only $5.
Proceeds from the Memorial Classic benefit the Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital Foundation. Funds raised from the Conine All-Star Golf Classic help underwrite expenses at The Conine Clubhouse, a home-away-from-home for families of children under care at Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital.
