A clinical manager on a medical/telemetry unit, Michelle House knows exactly what motivates her each shift.
“It’s knowing my work contributes to improving patient outcomes and supporting my team,” said House, a nurse since 2006. “Whether it’s mentoring a colleague, advocating for better care, or comforting a patient, I find fulfillment in the ability to lead with purpose and make a lasting impact.”
House says her nursing journey has been filled with learning, challenges, and rewards, and includes a commitment to growing within the profession. Since joining Memorial Healthcare System in 2012, she has become a certified stroke nurse, earned her BSN and MSN, served on Shared Governance committees, been a charge nurse, clinical manager, and now aspires to be a nurse manager.
“I have a strong passion for leadership, teamwork, and patient care,” she said. “It’s very fulfilling to see nurses you’ve supported grow in their roles and witness the positive outcomes of patient recovery.”
