Miami- Miami Children’s Hospital (MCH) has been ranked fifth in the nation on this year’s InformationWeek 500 – a list of the top technology innovators in the U.S.
The MCH Information Technology department has championed the use of technology in ways that optimize customer service, improve patient engagement and empower the patient and the consumer. Most recently with the launch of the Fit4KidsApp, which enables patients and families to order from the hospital’s cafeteria and gift shop as well as find their way throughout the hospital all through their mobile devices. MCH is also working on the launch of a telemedicine center that will enable families to virtually connect to MCH subspecialists securely from anywhere around the world using advanced mobile apps connected to medical diagnostic equipment.
