MAY 19, 2023 – Miami-Dade County Emergency Management Department, urges all County residents to begin pre-season preparations ahead of the start of the 2023 Atlantic Hurricane Season which officially begins June 1st.

TIPS ON HOW TO PREPARE

Be sure to plan and prepare ahead of time. Emergency supplies should be fully stocked by June 1st, the start of hurricane season. Once a hurricane warning is declared, most of your preparations should be directed toward your home. Learn about preparing an evacuation plan, organizing a hurricane supply kit, what to do before, during and after a hurricane. Take time to stock your disaster supply to last you 3 to 14 days.
