Sports medicine and shoulder specialist Dr. Michael DeFranco, M.D. has opened The Athlete’s Clinic, which specializes in orthopaedic care for sports injuries and shoulder disorders. Dr. DeFranco completed an orthopaedic residency at the Cleveland Clinic, a sports medicine fellowship at Rush University Medical Center, the Harvard shoulder surgery fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital, and a European shoulder surgery fellowship in France and Switzerland. Dr. DeFranco is board certified in both orthopaedic surgery and orthopaedic sports medicine.
