More than 80 physicians and other health care professionals participated in the “Get a Grip: Time for Tough Choices for Your Practice” seminar presented on September 15 by the Broward County Medical Association, the Dade County Medical Association and the Health Care Solutions Alliance, a coalition of health care consultants, at the Sheraton Hotel in Fort Lauderdale.
Keynote speakers for the event included Richard Lucibella of HealthNet, LLC, John Benz of Memorial Hospital, Susan Pinnas of AVMED, and Mike Segal of Broad and Cassel. The afternoon session featured a panel discussion with the speakers. Moderated by Lanny Pauley of Neuroscience Consultants, the panel also included Dr. Victor Toledano and Joe Cobo of Cobo, Weizien, Bowers. The spirited conversation covered the various options available to physicians and the move toward lower cost, higher quality health care services.
