Mount Sinai Medical Center has recruited Dr. John Chaloupka as the new Section Chief of the Division of Interventional Neuroradiology. Dr. Chaloupka is an internationally acclaimed expert in the neuro-endovascular surgical management of cerebrovascular diseases and was one of the first doctors in the world to perform the detachable aneurysm coiling operation.
 
Dr. Chaloupka completed his medical doctorate at Johns Hopkins University in 1986. He received post-graduate medical training in internal medicine and diagnostic radiology at Sinai Hospital-Johns Hopkins Affiliate and Emory University, respectively.
