Nov. 9, 2022 – Today from 9-10am, the NCH Healthcare System honored its veteran employees, their family members and all veterans in our community with a Veterans Day celebration. Guest speaker Brigadier General Ed Brandt spoke about his service to our country and why it is important for us to remember the sacrifices made by so many others to maintain our freedom.
The event included a Posting of the Colors and presentation of the flag to NCH employee and veteran of the U.S. Armed Forces, Judith Dektas, RN.
In recognition of Veterans Day, NCH Healthcare System also hosted a Veteran Resource Fair for vets and their family members in our community to pick up information on the various veteran resources available to them in our area.
Vendors in attendance at the Veteran Resource Fair included: Career Source Florida & Disabled Veterans Outreach Program, Collier County Veterans Affairs, Florida Gulf Coast University, Freedom Waters, Golden PAWS Assistance Dogs, Gulf Coast FL Blue Star Moms, Hodges Funeral Home, Naples Vet Center, and others.
