July 15, 2022 – Cheryl Wild will be appointed Chief Nursing Officer of HCA Florida Palms West Hospital, effective July 18,2022.

Cheryl J. Wild RN, MSN, CENP

Cheryl Wild is a hands-on, Certified Nursing Executive (CENP), with over 20 years of nursing leadership experience. She describes herself as being a fiercely loyal nurse advocate and a champion for quality patient care. Cheryl started her nursing career as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), where she “fell in love” with patient care. She believes this beginning helps keep her “grounded” in purpose and mission.

Cheryl has held various roles in clinical care during her career: med surg, open heart ICU as well as clinical trials to name a few. As a nurse manager ,she has led teams in clinical research, oncology, cardiology, critical care, cardiac cath labs and case management. Cheryl has several research publications. She also authored a book on congenital heart defects in children. Cheryl joins us most recently from Broward Health where she has served for the past several years as Chief Nursing Officer. She is “very excited” to be joining the team at HCA Palms West Hospital and describes it to be an “incredible opportunity” to serve the community she has lived in for the past 12 years.

Cheryl earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from Trenton State College in NJ and a Masters of Nursing (MSN) in Health Administration from Drexel University in Philadelphia, PA. She is a member of the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society, a voting member of the Nurse Advisory Board at FAU’s Christine E. Lynn College of Nursing, and she also holds an Adjunct Professor distinction at FAU’s College of Nursing. Currently, Cheryl is currently pursuing her Doctorate of Nursing Practice (DNP) from Drexel University.
