Paula Thaqi, M.D., MPH, Director at the Broward County Health Department recently announced the appointment of Timothy Mayer as Environmental Administrator.
Mayers Environmental Health career spans over 26 years of service most recently as Environmental Administrator for eight years with the Polk County Health Department and several years as a Field Inspector and Environmental Specialist in both Polk and Monroe Counties. In 1993, he accepted a position as Environmental Specialist III at the Florida Department of Healths Bureau of Onsite Sewage Programs in Tallahassee. He is a Registered Sanitarian and received a Bachelors of Science Degree in Biological Sciences from Florida State University and a Masters of Public Health Degree in Environmental and Occupational Health from the University of South Florida.
