Do you know a hero in the field of health care? The Palm Beach County Medical Society Services and the Palm Beach County Medical Society Alliance are calling for nominations for its upcoming Heroes in Medicine Awards.
Nominations can be made in the following categories: Community Outreach Hero, Bruce Rendina Professional Hero, Physician Hero, Non-physician Healthcare Provider Hero and Student Hero. To submit a nomination, visit www.pbcms.org or call 561-433-3940. Deadline is February 15th, 2010. Finalists will be recognized and recipients announced at the 7th Annual Heroes in Medicine Awards luncheon to be held on Thursday, May 6, at 11:00 a.m. at the Kravis Center in West Palm Beach. Proceeds benefit Project Access, a community-based program to increase access to health care for the uninsured. “There are so many who humbly go far beyond expectations to help others,” said Jim Sugarman, Heroes in Medicine chair. “The Heroes in Medicine Awards is a great way for us to recognize them for their charitable efforts and raise money for other people in need.”
