Home Health Aide!
The Bureau of Labor Statistics recently said, “Many of the occupations projected to grow the fastest in the economy are concentrated in the healthcare industry. For example, over the 2008-18 period, total employment of home health aides is projected to increase by 50 percent, Nursing aides, orderlies and attendants, and home health aides are among the occupations adding the most new jobs in this industry between 2008 and 2018, about 592,200 combined. Healthcare workers at all levels of education and training will continue to be in high demand.”
Here in Florida with the large population of elderly, those figures are expected to be even higher!
To meet this increasing demand, CSI Caregiver Institute, who has been offering Home Health Aide classes in Dade county for 20 years, will be opening a second location in Palm Beach in April of 2010. Like the Dade campus, the Palm Beach school will offer the 75 hour HHA course that in as little as two weeks, can fast-track graduates to work for both Federal and privately funded providers.
The new location at 2324 South Congress Avenue, West Palm Beach, will be taking pre-registration starting in mid February for those wishing to be in the first groups of students in April. Meanwhile the Dade school at 1150 NE 125th Street, North Miami, continues to offer day, night and Saturday classes in Home Health Aide and the popular Nursing Assistant Challenge Practice and Review, as well as CPR and continuing education for those who are already in the Healthcare field.
