Florida Governor Rick Scott has appointed David C. Nieland to the North Broward Hospital District Board of Commissioners. Nieland will serve through July 20, 2015. He succeeds Miguel Fernandez.Nieland is currently the special agent in charge for the United States Department of Homeland Security, Office of Inspector General, at the Miami Field Office. He is a member of the Florida’s Sheriff’s Association and the Miami-Dade Association of Chiefs of Police.
Earlier this summer, Gov. Scott also appointed Kimberly Kisslan, of Fort Lauderdale, to the North Broward Hospital District Board of Commissioners.
Nieland joins commissioners Joel Gustafson, David DiPietro and Debbie Kohl in serving on the board that governs Broward Health.
