Recognizing the hospital’s dedication to serving various cultures, North Shore Medical Center Governing Board Member Bishop Randall Holts and Dr. Frederick Bloom, a neonatologist with the hospital’s Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, officiated a ceremony commemorating Black History Month at North Shore Medical Center. Bishop Holts commemorated the occasion with an invocation and highlighted the contributions of famous African Americans throughout the years. Dr. Bloom, a native of Miami, spoke about the contributions of African Americans locally and in the medical field and praised nurses and technicians who he hailed as heroes.
