North Shore Medical Center recently honored their physicians with a special Physician Super Star Awards presentation during the annual Doctors’ Day luncheon and celebration.

Awards were presented to physicians in the following categories:

Most Responsive – Rehan Naqui, M.D. – Dr. Naqui earned his medical degree from the University of South Florida College of Medicine in Tampa, Fla. This internist is a member of the American Medical Association

Most Compassionate – Moses Alade, M.D. – Dr. Alade earned his medical degree from the American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine in the West Indies. This emergency room physician is an active member of the American Medical Association, Florida Academy of Family Physicians and America Academy of Family Physicians.

Most Supportive – Alain Innocent, M.D. – Dr. Innocent earned his medical degree from the School of Medicine and Pharmacy in Haiti. He is board certified in internal medicine and is a member of both the American Medical Association and American College of Physicians.

Most Cooperative – Hamidreza Moghaddam, M.D. – Dr. Moghaddam earned his medical degree from the University of Iberoamericana School of Medicine in the Dominican Republic. He specializes in internal medicine and is fluent in Farsi, English and Spanish.

Most Legible Handwriting – Hakan Charles-Harris, M.D. – Dr. Charles-Harris, an OB/GYN, earned his medical degree from the University of the West Indies. A native of Sweden, he speaks several languages, including English, Swedish, Norwegian and some Spanish.

Best Bedside Manner – Ramon Hechavarria, M.D. – Dr. Hechavarria earned his medical degree from Santiago de Compostela in Spain. A native of Cuba, this OB/GYN is an active member of the Florida Medical Association and Dade County Medical Association.

Best Team Player – Mark W. Bridges, M.D. – Dr. Bridges, an orthopaedic surgeon, earned his medical degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine. He is board eligible with the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery.

Physician of the Year – Jaime Lozano, M.D. – Dr. Lozano, a radiation oncologist, is medical director at the C. Gordon Griffith Cancer Center. He earned his medical degree from Javeriana University in Colombia. Among other honors, he is a three-time recipient of the American Medical Associations Physician’s Recognition Award in Continuing Medical Education.
