Local dignitaries and supporters of the Oakwood Center of the Palm Beaches recently gathered for the official renaming of the Center to the Jerome Golden Center for Behavioral Health, Inc. This renaming comes on the heels of a most-charitable gift from Jerome (Jerry) Golden.

In 1970, the Center opened as one of the first federally funded centers under the Community Mental Health Center Act signed by President John F. Kennedy. For 40 years the Center has been providing a full range of behavioral health services to adults, families, adolescents and children of northern, western and central Palm Beach County.
