West Boca Medical Center received recognition from the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG) District XII (Florida) and March of Dimes for reducing the number of elective inductions and cesarean deliveries before 39 weeks of pregnancy.
The hospital met the criteria to qualify for this distinction by achieving an early elective delivery rate of 5 percent or lower, in addition to having policies in place to prevent such deliveries. The two organizations presented West Boca with a banner signifying its dedication to reducing early elective deliveries.
