Do you know a Hero? It’s time to salute the heroes among us. Palm Beach County Medical Society and Services, a non-profit organization, is hosting the 11th Annual Heroes in Medicine Awards on Thursday, May 8, 2014. These prestigious awards honor individuals and organizations throughout Palm Beach County that use their skills and resources in the field of health care to provide outstanding services for the people of our local, national and global communities.
The 2014 Heroes in Medicine categories are: Community Outreach Hero, Bruce Rendina Professional Hero, Health Care Provider Hero (Non-Physician), Physician Hero (Local/National), Physician Hero (International), Student Hero, Health Care Educator Hero, Health Care Innovation Hero and a new category, Philanthropy Hero. Descriptions of the awards categories are available on Palm Beach County Medical Society’s website, www.pbcms.org/heroes. Anyone in the community can nominate an individual, group or organization.
Proceeds from Heroes in Medicine benefit Project Access, a community-based program to increase access to health care for the uninsured.

Finalists will be recognized at the 11th Annual Heroes in Medicine Awards luncheon on Thursday, May 8th at the Kravis Center in West Palm Beach.
