Palm Healthcare Foundation awarded $1,299,842 in grants to twenty-five local nonprofits and $214,496 in scholarships to six different institutions. Together, the funding supports the increased health and wellbeing of county residents and aligns with the foundation’s key priority areas: diabetes prevention, nursing advancement, behavioral health and family caregiving. All of the grant dollars were awarded in fiscal year 2015.
“Since our inception in 2001, Palm Healthcare Foundation has been dedicated to solving the county’s critical healthcare issues through creative community-wide collaboration. Recently, our focus has been on community-based care as we work with targeted neighborhoods to address underlying causes of health issues. With each grant and scholarship, we take another step forward towards long-lasting positive change for our community’s health,” said Andrea Bradley, J.D., President and CEO of Palm Healthcare Foundation.
