Public Health Trust Chairman Larry R. Handfield, Esq., recently passed the gavel to Vice Chairman Ernesto de la Fé at the board meeting of the Public Health Trust. The symbolic passing of the gavel marks the start of Ernesto de la Fés tenure as the new Chairman of the Public Health Trust, which oversees Jackson Health System.

Ernesto de la Fé was recently named director and head of Latin America for Morgan Stanley Private Wealth Management overseeing the groups operations in New York, Geneva and Latin America. As part of his appointment, Morgan Stanley will open a Private Wealth Management Office in Miami so de la Fé could better serve the companys high net worth clients and institutions in Latin America and South Florida.
Prior to his appointment with Morgan Stanley, de la Fé was at Lehman Brothers, where he served as managing director, Investment Management Division, regional director and head of business development for Latin America. Before joining Lehman Brothers in 1994, de la Fé enjoyed a nearly decade-long career with Merrill Lynch.
In addition to serving on the Public Health Trust Board of Trustees, de la Fé is a board member of Bay Point Schools (for “at-risk teen boys”), the Cuba Study Group, and is an active member of the Council of the Americas. He has been a speaker and panelist on various economic/financial forums including those sponsored by Latin Finance and the World Economic Forum.
