Atlanta Hospital News, a monthly newspaper providing comprehensive coverage of the Metro Atlanta healthcare industry, will premiere in March 2006.
Produced and distributed by Oak Publications, L.L.C.,
Atlanta Hospital News will provide news and information to healthcare professionals. It will follow the highly successful format and approach of its sister publications in western Pennsylvania, Chicago, and South Florida.
“In every corner of the United States, health care is perhaps the most important, most exciting, and most rapidly changing industry there is,” said Josh Felix who, along with his wife Kristen, will publish
Atlanta Hospital News. “Yet traditional news sources do not have the time or space to provide all the news there is to share in health care.”
Atlanta Hospital News, which will be distributed by direct mail to healthcare executives, administrators, department heads of all key areas, chief medical officers, physicians, board members, nurses, professional staff, and business development executives and consultants, will provide a forum through which information can be shared with the healthcare community.
“We will work with the regions hospital association as well as the whole continuum of care and service, including home care, hospice, rehab, staffing, senior care and insurance providers,” said Felix. “We not only accept information, story ideas, and photos from hospital and healthcare representatives, we encourage them.
Atlanta Hospital News will be a vehicle through which they can all talk to each other. Professionals who provide legal, architectural or other health-focused services to the healthcare industry also are encouraged to utilize
Atlanta Hospital News.”
While
Atlanta Hospital News will be a publication dedicated to the Metro Atlanta region, it will benefit from an editorial department and stable of writers who have been publishing similar newspapers for more than 20 years with great success. Felix, a native of Atlanta, already successfully publishes with his wife Chicago Hospital News, introduced three years ago.
“We appreciate that, while health care is uniquely special to each area of the country, it does have some things in common,” said Felix. “First and foremost, while it can be a highly competitive industry, nowhere do you find a greater spirit of cooperation or of common purpose.
Atlanta Hospital News will enable those dedicated professionals to talk to each other, to share their stories, and to inspire one another.”
