Tenet Healthcare Corporation recently announced the appointment of Ralph A. Aleman as chief executive officer of Hialeah Hospital. Aleman is an accomplished senior executive with more than 35 years of healthcare experience, the last six of which has been with Tenet.

Aleman most recently had served as vice president and market leader of Tenet’s hospitals in Miami-Dade and Broward Counties, a position he held since April 2006. Prior to that role, Aleman was chief executive officer of Tenet’s Palmetto General Hospital, also in Hialeah, for five years. Aleman joined Tenet from HCA – Hospital Corp. of America – where he served as chief operating officer of the company’s South Florida division, as well as chief executive officer for several of the company’s hospitals in South Florida. From 1978 to 1985, Aleman was administrator of Southwest General Hospital in San Antonio, TX.
