December 2, 2022 Board-certified general surgeon with a dedicated fellowship in vascular surgery, Rennier A Martinez, M.D., joins Baptist Health. Dr. Martinez performs a wide array of gastrointestinal, oncologic, and biliary operations. He focused his fellowship in complex endovascular aortic repair, carotid artery stenting and limb salvage.

“We’re delighted that Dr. Martinez has joined our team,” said Marcella Gravalese, MBA-HSA, Vice President of Baptist Health Medical Group. “His extensive training and expertise in innovative treatment approaches for fenestrated endovascular aortic aneurysm repair (FEVAR), carotid stenting (TCAR) and peripheral artery disease will benefit our patients.”

Dr. Martinez joins Baptist Health after completing his general surgery residency at the University of Miami and his vascular surgery fellowship at the University of Tennessee. He earned his medical degree from Florida State University.

He’s published peer-reviewed scientific papers in The Annals of Vascular Surgery and the Journal of Vascular Surgery and presented his findings at national conferences.
