Sarasota-based DTI-NanoTech, Div. Of Discovery Technology International, LLLP recently unveiled their very latest miniature robotic system, Robomate-STX during the annual meeting of the Society for Neuroscience. The meeting attracted around 30,000 scientists from around the world.
DTI President and British PhD Neuroscientist Dr. Mark Broderick explained that RoboMate-STX is the worlds first fully automated computer-controlled stereotaxic microinjection system for use in biomedical research. The 6-axis linear/angular robotic system enables the scientist to automatically program and target any region deep within the brain with unsurpassed micron accuracy. The system incorporates DTIs Pat Pending Virtual Point technology that enables the angle of the microinjector to be changed without losing its position with respect to the target.
