Rosomoff Comprehensive Pain Center Receives Prestigious Award

The Rosomoff Comprehensive Pain Center (RCPC) is the recipient of the first “Clinical Centers of Excellence in Pain Management Award” from the American Pain Society (APS), an honor awarded to only six pain care centers in the U.S. The award was recently presented to Dr. Hubert L. Rosomoff, Medical Director, and Renee Steele Rosomoff, Programs Director, at a gala held at the Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History in Washington, D.C.

“We are excited and humbled by this recognition,” said Renee Rosomoff. “We have spent our careers in pursuit of excellence and this award validates our work.” The RCPC was selected from a distinguished field of over 90 programs.

Dr. Hubert and Renee Rosomoff hold the APS award in front of the Rosomoff Comprehensive Pain Center.

“Our center is a facility where people come to get their lives back after years of failed treatments and medications,” said Dr. Hubert Rosomoff, who is recognized as a world authority on pain and its treatment.

The RCPC was founded in 1974 within the University of Miami’s Department of Neurological Surgery, of which Dr. Rosomoff was the Professor and Chairman. Today it is based at the Miami Jewish Home and Hospital at Douglas Gardens. The RCPC is an internationally renowned model for the evaluation and treatment of pain and has been featured in national magazines and network news reports.
