The CAPPY Awards, an annual event of CAP, the Comprehensive AIDS Program of the Palm Beach County, recognizes individuals who give their time, talent and skills to fight the HIV/AIDS epidemic in local, state, national and/or global communities. Those interested in nominating individuals for the CAPPY Awards should contact Scott Kent by at (561) 472-3022 ext. 220. or email skent@foundcare.org to receive a nomination form. To be considered for an award, nominations must be received by August 15, 2007.
Award Categories are: Lifetime Achievement Award Individual who has dedicated a significant time in a leadership role to HIV / AIDS care, research, or awareness; Major Donors Award Individual(s) or company who has shown financial support for the HIV/AIDS effort; Medical Achievement Award Individual(s) or company that has led the way in the area of HIV/AIDS treatment; Fundraiser of the Year Award Individual who has shown exemplary leadership in fund raising; “Kevin Kitchens” Media Award A member of the press or media who has written, spoken, and / or covered the HIV/AIDS crisis with merit; Volunteer(s) of the Year Award Individual(s) who have given of themselves in an outstanding manner as a volunteer(s) to fight HIV/AIDS or assist those living with HIV/AIDS; The 2nd Annual CAPPY Awards will be presented at the annual event “le Diner Rouge”, on Friday, October 26, 2007 at the National Croquet Center, West Palm Beach. Proceeds from the event will benefit CAP.
