Jackson Health System’s Ryder Trauma Center surgeon Juan A. Asensio, M.D., FACS, FCCM, has received a prestigious honor from the Royal College of Surgeons. Dr. Asensio traveled to London to be inducted as an Honorary Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England.
Dr. Asensio is the director of International Medicine Institute Education and Training, director of Trauma Clinical Research, Training and Community Affairs; director of the Trauma Surgery and Surgical Critical Care Fellowship; and professor of surgery at the University of Miami Leonard M. Miller School of Medicine.
