Sebastien Abraham began his journey with Broward Health in April 2017 as a paramedic at Broward Health Coral Springs right after he graduated from the fire academy. At the time, he only planned to work in the Emergency Department (ED) to gain experience before pursuing a fire rescue career.
But during his first year in the emergency department, he developed a passion for healthcare and emergency nursing.
“I decided to look into a career change to nursing and started the nursing program at Broward College, taking advantage of Broward Health’s tuition reimbursement program,”
Abraham said.
After Abraham graduated with his nursing degree from Broward College and passed his nursing boards, he was hired at Broward Health Imperial Point to begin his journey at an emergency nurse, which he says has brought him great reward and satisfaction.
